Supporting the British Heart Foundation to gather insights from cardiovascular patients in an inclusive and supportive way

We worked closely with the British Heart Foundation to map out their future insight aims, current insight sources, recruitment networks and created an inclusive insight gathering and recruitment plan. We spoke with over 50 people and conducted 4 workshops to understand the current experiences and unmet needs. The insights for this project are now supporting the British Heart Foundation to prioritise their focus for the future to improve services and support for cardiovascular patients and those with risk factors.

Supporting Imperial College London to co-design inclusive service touchpoints to increase attendance of breast cancer screening

Inclusively worked with Imperial College London to further understand the barriers to attending breast screening appointments and co-create SMS reminders and a short video animation to help increase the uptake of breast cancer screening.

This SMS and video animation that was co-designed with healthcare professionals and end-users is now being piloted across London.

Supporting Common Ambition to co-design healthcare services with people experiencing homelessness

Inclusively supported the fantastic Common Ambition team and a brilliant steering group of people with lived experience of homelessness to help improve how people experiencing homelessness can access healthcare services in a more accessible and inclusive way.

Common Ambition is a partnership between charities Just Life and Arch health.

Improving end-of-life care in hospital environments with the Helix Centre and NHS

I worked with the Helix team to support Imperial Hospital to understand what is working well and what could be improved around end-of-life care in hospital environments, specifically focusing on understanding the current experiences and needs from marginalised communities.

We ran interviews and co-design workshops to understand current experiences and co-create future improvements. We worked with people with lived experience to help us shape this project and research in an accessible, inclusive and caring way.

Supporting Sensing Spaces of Healthcare to explore how to improve hospital environments for children and young people and people on maternity wards

Inclusively worked with Sensing Spaces of Healthcare to help run research workshops to inform future design briefs

Inclusively ran two workshops one with children and young people at Great Ormond Street Hospital and one in a maternity ward in Bristol. These workshops were built on previous research and creating a space for ideation with users to help create design briefs.

Co-designing an inclusive curriculum of support for social enterprise - Fat Macy’s

Inclusively supported the Fat Macy's team to co-create an inclusive curriculum of support, enabling them to further track their impact and improve the overall trainee experience. 

Fat Macy’s trains and supports Londoners in temporary accommodation to become chefs, with the aim to help them move into their own homes.

Working with people with lived experience of homelessness to identify challenges across housing pathways - Common Ambition

Inclusively supported the wonderful Common Ambition team and a brilliant steering group of people with lived experience of homelessness to co-create a detailed map of the current housing pathways across Brighton and Hove.

This map was created so that local services including the NHS and local government could then use this insight to help them prioritise areas for future improvements,

Inclusively provides capability building throughout projects and can also provide light touch advice sessions to support organisations

Inclusively runs capability building across live projects with a wide variety of organisations and always works closely with teams to tailor the focus of the capability building where it’s most needed.

We also often provide advice sessions to organisations to help support projects in a light touch way when needed.

Supporting a variety of social enterprises through Year Here to create further inclusive services

Inclusively worked with Year Here and their various program cohorts to support emerging social enterprises to create further inclusive services and organisations

We have run quite a few hands-on sessions on inclusive service design, prototyping, and supported participants to identify possible inclusion and accessibility gaps to help them in a really actionable way to make their organisations, social enterprises, ventures, charities, products and services further inclusive.

Creating a further holistic and inclusive care planning process with the Helix Centre for the NHS

Inclusively worked with the Helix Centre (who was leading the project) and the NHS to enable care providers to deliver further holistic care and collaboratively create care plans with both patients and other care providers.

By improving collaboration between care providers, you can deliver a further joined-up healthcare experience for patients.

Working with the Global Treehouse Foundation to co-design a resource with and for children’s palliative care providers

Inclusively supported the Global Treehouse Foundation to create the Magnify Tool which is a customisable tool for children’s palliative care providers and teams to explore and use their service data and information.

We co-designed the tool with over 60 contributors from over 20 countries to ensure that it would be useful for a wide range of children’s palliative care providers.

Crohn’s & Colitis UK want to create an online patient education programme. To do this they first wanted to understand more about what would be most useful for people. Inclusively supported Common Collective with this project.

Supporting Breast Cancer Now to understand how they might be able to best enable more people to regularly check their breasts

Inclusively and Common Collective supported Breast Cancer Now to conduct research and run co-design sessions to help understand how they could better support people to feel more confident to check their breast and chest. The project resulted in a few co-designed prototypes and concepts that Breast Cancer Now are further exploring.

Supporting the Helix team and the NHS to understand what is working well and what could be improved across multiple cancer pathways

Inclusively supported the Helix team to conduct research and workshops with a wide range of cancer patients and cancer healthcare staff members across multiple cancer pathways to understand what most needs to be improved. Imperial Hospital is now using this insight to prioritise where to focus on making improvements.

Helping Energy Systems Catapult to create a more inclusive and accessible way for people who are digitally excluded to get involved with energy research projects

We supported the Living Lab team to understand what the current experience was like for people taking part in energy research trial sand projects and how it could be improved and made accessible for people who are digitally excluded. We ran co-design sessions with people who are digitally excluded to create an inclusive and accessible future experience. Inclusively partnered with Common Collective to deliver this project.

Supporting Rape Crisis to create service improvements to their 24/7 Support Line to further meet the needs of frequent users

Inclusively and Joy supported Rape Crisis to better understand the behaviour of ‘frequent users’ and explore ways in which the service could be redesigned to better support them. Rape Crisis run a 24/7 Support Line for victims and survivors of sexual abuse.

Understanding where technology could better support the children's palliative care journey for families, children and clinicians

Inclusively supported Global Treehouse to carry out research with clinicians and families around the world to understand how technology is currently being used across the children’s palliative care journey. We focused on understanding where technology could help to better meet the needs of clinicians, families and children in the future.

Understanding the emotional drivers around alcohol drinking habits and the motivations for behaviour change

Inclusively supported Common Collective to conduct 10 ethnographic interviews with people drinking between 14-50 units per week, aged 55-75 and living in different parts of the country. We created a safe, non-judgmental space to explore this topic. We explored people's habits around alcohol, motivations for drinking or drinking less, and factors that influenced them around drinking.

Inclusively and Common Collective supported You and Menopause to co-design and create a pack of cards that supports people through the journey of menopause. This project and resources specifically focused on co-designing resources for Black and racially minoritised and LGBTQIA+ communities.

We did this by reviewing their current service journeys and carrying out user research with potential users to help better understand what people need to know about the product and how to help people make an informed decision around their sustainable energy products.

Supporting Rape Crisis to co-design ways to support people whilst they wait for counselling

There are currently around 14,000 victims and survivors of sexual abuse on waiting lists that are in need of 1:1 counselling. This project worked to shine a light on this pressing issue while gathering best practice from Rape Crisis centres for how to manage waiting lists and co-designing ways to support people while they wait.

Common Collective and Inclusively partnered on this project to support Prostate Cancer UK to gather insights from men living with prostate cancer and their loved ones to help improve the Online Community. The aim of this project was to better understand what support people really need and want from an online community.
